This July will be the 12-year anniversary of one of the greatest rap albums of all time: Blu & Exile's Below the Heavens. Intrestingly enough, the two haven't released a lof of music together since they dropped that bomb. (They released Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them in 2012. Then, In 2017, for Below the Heavens'ten-year anniversary, they released a tape of B-sides from that era.)
Well, that's about to change.

On May 24th, the two will reunite to release the True & Livin EP, their first project of new music in years. The first release from the project is the title track which features Blu spitting over a vintage Exile loop.
Speaking about the track, Exile said:
True and Livin feels like a spiritual call to all that have honor and truth in their being. It sees how present day and beyond is always trying to calculate or monetize what comes from God or what comes from an artist’s spirit, but it also recognizes the truth that is inside of our music and brags about it, even in a humble way somehow. This might be the first hip hop braggadocio song that invites us all to feel the same about themselves as long as they connect to the spirit and truth that is inside this song and inside us all.
