If you've been in the crowd for any recent BADBADNOTGOOD shows, you've likely noted the absence of keyboardist, Matthew Tavares. According to a statement from the band, the lo-fi Ryan Reynolds doppelganger has taken some time off the road to sharpen his tools and hone his songwriting.
And it's on full display on the new solo single "Embarrassed," where warm synths guide Tavares coldest laments, assisted by BBNG bandmates Chester Hansen and Alex Sowinski on bass and drums and a hand on production from hit-maker, Frank Dukes. There's no word on when Tavares will rejoin his crew on the road, but if the sabbatical leads to more gems like this, we'll all be better for it on the other end.
