According to Detroit Free Press, The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the same museum that held a two-day public viewing last month, will display the red dress and shoes she wore during the memorial, videos and photos from her career, and an original pressing of Franklin's first-ever recording, "Never Grow Old," recorded in 1956 for JVB Records.
The exhibit, dubbed Think: A Tribute to the Queen of Soul, will run until January 21st, 2019 with materials rotating in and out during its stay. Museum board member Kelly Major Green insists pieces from the installation will join a larger traveling collection that will tour the state.
