Chicago Sky superstar Angel Reese is continuing to make “Mebounds” her own. The WNBA star and Reebok revealed her latest sneaker, the Angel Reese 1 Mebounds, during WNBA All-Star Weekend. This comes after it was reported that Reese has gotten “Mebounds” officially copyrighted.
Reese’s critics began using the term “mebounds” to dismiss her rebounding statistics; the common criticism being that Reese gets so many rebounds from her own missed shots.

And she addressed the detractors in a TikTok video.
"Whoever came up with the 'mebounds' thing, y'all ate because 'mebounds', rebounds, crebounds…” she said in the video, “...anything that comes off that board, it's mine."
"And a brand? That's six figures right there,” she continued. “The trolling, I love when y'all do it because, like, the ideas be good. Like, when y'all have to alter my face and s--t because I'm cute, alright, whatever. That doesn't get me. But when y'all came up with 'mebounds' — because statistically, all the rebounds that I get aren't always just mine. They're, like, the defense's, too, or somebody else on my team — but, when y'all came up with 'mebounds,' y'all ate."
