When Saints Go Machine x Killer Mike - "Love & Respect" [Official Video]

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

In a spirit of foreign exchange we fully support round here, Atlanta bulldog Killer Mike links with Copenhagen's When Saints Go Machine for the song "Love & Respect." The track sounds like a beat Show & A.G. might have come with in their hey, or maybe Deep Cover-era Dre--but fleshed out with strings, a melancholy indie-rockish keychange on the bridge and spooky falsetto vocals. Just the thing for Killer Mike to go guerilla on, coming with a verse that is surprisingly--and brilliantly--influenced by the underrated Poor Righteous Teachers. The impeccable production values on Frederik Hviid and Sebastian Birk's stylish crime thriller of a video (Denmark, where badmen still rock Adidas originals!) dont't hurt either. Watch below and look out for WSGM's new album Infinity Pool, which drops May 28th on !K7.
