Spike Lee Breaks Down His Knicks Obsession, Talks Michael Jordan, Biggie + More w/ Pete Rosenberg & Miss Info
Spike Lee stopped by the Hot 97 studio to chop it up with Pete Rosenberg and Miss Info for a bit, touching on all his (and mostly our) favorite notes. Namely, his affinity and undying devotion to the New York Knickerbockers organization, their transition to the Phil Jackson era and his forthcoming documentary exploration of "The Triangle Offense" that chronicles that transition. After some squabbling over legitimate BK natives and those who were merely born here, Spike breaks down how the transition into a new system for The Knicks meant that he had some research to do, the fruit of which was made into his latest cinematic effort.
He also jumped into the nature of his relationship with the GOAT Michael Jordan and his catalogue of some of the most iconic commercials to ever hit a small screen. And what would a conversation with Spike be without wheeling back to BK to touch on Biggie's legacy? Particularly, which Knicks guard got his lady took by the Notorious one. It's another fine sit-down with Mookie, Mars or whatever you'd like to call the irreverent filmmaker. Watch Spike Lee chop it up with Pete Rosenberg and Miss Info on Hot 97 below.
