The tennis pro welcomed a baby girl on Friday at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach with fiancé Alexis Ohanian after being induced on Thursday night.

The news came courtesy of WPBF-25 news producer Chris Shepherd, who wrote on his Twitter account, "Tennis star Serena Williams gives birth to a baby girl weighing 6 pounds, 13 ounces. Mom and baby doing well."

The 35-year-old Williams announced her pregnancy in a bathing suit snap on Snapchat in April with the caption "20 weeks" taken during the couple's tropical getaway. However, the tennis star later admitted that she had posted the snap publicly by accident and that it was meant for her closest friends.

"On social media, you press the wrong button and…30 minutes later I missed four calls and I'm like,  'that's weird,'" Williams said about the accident during a TED Talk with Gayle King back in April.

Williams previously announced that she would be taking maternity leave for the rest of the year but hopes to return for the Australian Open in January.

Congratulations to Williams and Ohanian!
