Yesterday Amerigo Gazaway of Gummy Soul released a teaser for a dope-looking project mashing together elements from the throwback catalogs of two groups very close to Okayplayer's heart; Pharcyde and A Tribe Called Quest. The result is something Gazaway calls Bizarre Tribe and the first leak from the mashtape is a track called "Runnin," which morphs the Ronnie Foster "Mystic Brew"--AKA the backbone of ATCQ's "Electric Relaxation" into the vocals of, duh, "Runnin." There's not many beats you could swap in to replace a J Dilla production without making listeners cry tears of frustration at your cursedly stupid. But if you're going to attempt such a tricky surgical maneuver, "Electric Relaxation" is probably the beat you want to go with (stream  below via bandcamp). By looks/listens of the video trailer (after the jump) the whole thing promises to be artfully done and OKP wholeheartedly endorses. Two great flavs that taste great together.
