Prince - "Breakfast Can Wait" + Carnegie Hall Tribute f/ D'Angelo The Roots & More

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

No disrespect to JT, but no one does smooth and sexy like Prince. The purple one, moving in his typical mysterious ways, has launched a website selling his new songs at $.88 each. 3rdEyeGirl.com  features recently released tracks "Screwdriver," remixes of "Screwdriver" and "Rock and Roll Love Affair," and lastly, a NEW ONE called "Breakfast Can Wait." That song, which can be heard below, goes deep and leans heavy on the soul. Even when Prince starts doing some odd chipmunk voices, it's still pleasing to the ears. No word on whether this is from a forthcoming album, but only time can tell what is up Prince's sleeves.

In other Prince news, The Roots are acting as the House Band for a concert titled The Music of Prince taking place at Carnegie Hall on March 7th. The tribute is part of an annual series of shows aimed to raise money for music education non-profits. Joining The Roots in the backing band will be Prince collaborators Eric LeedsWendy Melvoin, and  Susannah Melvoin. The night will see Prince covers from the likes of Elvis CostelloTalib KweliBilalBooker T, and.....D'angelo!
