Mark De Clive-Lowe Takes A Classic To 'CHURCH' With "Hot Music" + Kickstarter Campaign

Mark De Clive-Lowe constructs, remixes and deconstructs a cover of "Hot Music" (Soho) - the iconic 1995 club classic from Pal Joey - with a grand piano, Maschine sampler, keyboard and a pair of Kaoss Pads for a dangerous rework that clocks in at 150 seconds, paying major tribute to the original monster jam in a relatively short amount of time. The video - premiered by Giant Step - is the first of four to be released for the One Take series, which features Mark De Clive-Lowe creating tracks from start to finish in one take. The One Take teasers arrive ahead of Mark's CHURCH LP, offering fans a taste of the party of the same name which has grown into an institution and subsequently inspired the forthcoming project he has been working diligently to fund via Kickstarter with outreach to fans across the globe. The project, much like the event, is a mash of Mark De Clive-Lowe's musical experiences and influences with an emphasis on bridging the gap between acoustic and electronic according to the sonic traditions of jazz, funk, soul and heavy improvisation. Check the footage below to watch Mark's take on "Hot Music." Scroll down to watch the official campaign video to learn more about the project and donate via Kickstarter. Stay tuned for more.
