A Prince classic has been unearthed

This Saturday is the two year anniversary of Prince's death. Prince's estate just released a goodie to celebrate the occasion. On Thursday, the estate released the original recording of Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U.

The song was written and recorded by Prince for a track on aFamily album. But it is most closely associated with Sinad O'Connor, who turned it into a number one smash in 1990. While O'Connor's song had a more goth, minimalist sound to it, Prince's version is a power rock ballad that plays up the dramatics.

To accompany the release of the song, Prince's estate also released a video. Directed by Andrea Gelardin and Ruth Hogben, the video shows Prince and his band rehearsing.
