Advice From A Rapper is an ongoing series of paintings by Austin-based artist and graphic designer Jessica Wright, capturing inspirational words of wisdom from noted rappers in soothing pastel tones incorporating both whimsical portraits and typography. The most successful examples range from the most universal (read: dumb simple) insights, ala Cypress Hill's "Save Your Money, Man" or Bone Thugs & Harmony's "You Know Nothing Comes Easy / You Got To Try Real, Real Hard" to the more eclectic--E-40's "You Got To Love Your Mama, Even If She Crazy Or A Way"; Nate Dogg's "Obstacles Get In My Way / Continue To Mash & Don't Forget To Pray."
