Hawthorne's never been shy about collaborating with old friends ( whether it be Madlib, Jake One or even legends like Booker T) and this exceptional mash of Hitsville swing and more subversive tonal selections proves to rock through and through, for both the post-punk funk fanatic and the more true-school minded folk. I tried to get y'all on to this one a few months back when the sultry visuals for "Coconut Sofa" jumped out of the internet -- not to mention the ill flip of that J Dilla cut on "Monster" -- but if you've yet to catch wind of this dynamic Detroit duo, they're making it easier than ever to get with.
