World Premiere : Bilal Takes To The Parisian Streets In A Beautifully Shot Video For "Slipping Away"

Bilal has long been a special kind of reclusive, dazzling us with soaring vocal performances, then quickly dipping out of the frame to revert back to his musical madness. His 2013 release A Love Surreal is a perfect case in point; Bilal crooned through jazzy, sophisticated soul compositions that garnered major critical acclaim from the whole community, but even though it was certainly one of last year's best offerings (and his most complete since the debut 1st Born Second) we were left a bit wanting in the visual department.

So it's with great pride that OKP presents the world premiere of the lonesome, even somber clip for his haunting ballad "Slipping Away." Shot in Paris by director Hans Elder, the visual follows the Philly-born vocal freak in his pursuit of a love he's longed for, but never attained; a game of romantic cat and mouse playing out on Parisian streets and subway cars. It is but the second visual from A Love Surreal to hit the small screen, following the live clip for "Butterfly" which came out roughly this time last year, back when we were shouting his praises for casting his spell on us at The Holiday Jam.

Speaking of which, Bilal will be gracing the Brooklyn Bowl stage once more this year on December 11th with hero of the Golden Age DJ Rashad Smith and BK-based four-piece Dragons Of Zynth to help warm you up with some funk-fortified frequencies. You can watch the video for Bilal's latest single "Slipping Away" down below and hit the link to grab your tickets to the must-see event of the Holiday season.
