Corey "Lil C-Note" Jackson, who is facing multiple charges including felony obstruction, misdemeanor criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct, appeared in court Tuesday alongside his attorneys, where they denied the charges against the child.
The incident took place back in October 2018, when Jackson was grabbed by an officer and threatened with arrest for selling his mixtape inside Atlanta's Cumberland Mall.
"You're 12? Stop. You're going to go to a youth detention center if you don't stop," the officer had told Jackson via a video that was taken of the exchange.
Cobb County Police Chief Mike Register had defended the officer and said that Jackson had sold his music in the mall twice before the altercation. However, Jackson's attorneys have denied that.
"When he was there, he was not selling any c.d.s or doing anything that would have been prohibited he was there meeting other artists," Mawuli Davis, one of Jackson's attorneys, told CBS 46.
