To put it gently, the legendary star was not a fan of the service. However, it seems like the Prince Estate is trying to mend those relationships, more than a year after his death.
On Friday, six Prince videos popped up on the star's YouTube page; they included: "I Would Die 4 U," "Let’s Go Crazy," the official and extended version of "When Doves Cry," and live performances of "Take Me With U” and “Baby I’m a Star.”
These new developments come a couple of months after The Purple One's music and content returned to AppleMusic and Spotify. (In 2015, Prince signed an exclusive deal with TIDAL.)
Like we said before, Prince's relationship with YouTube was shaky when he was alive. in 2007 he had YouTube remove over 2,000 of his videos. And in 2014, before he signed with TIDAL, Prince made finding his content all but impossible when he closed his YouTube and all of his social media accounts.
