Video: Slum Village “God Sent”/”Hunger” f/ Vice & Focus [prod. Young RJ]

We knew that this Slum Village mixtape from Mick Boogie was a portent that bigger things were gonna drop soon from the SV survivors (now including Dilla‘s little bro Illa J in their new incarnation)–and appropriately, it was Mick tipped us to this new video medley for the songs “God Sent” and “Hunger” via the twitters. Feels like some old SV fire has returned, right from the opening bars of grungey rock looped up by Young RJ. Check it out and be on your lookout for more slum goodness imported from Detroit soon!

how do they still dare to call it Slum Village? Especially after what they did to Elzhi. He was the last one to save the patch. T3 has fallen in my eyes. And rest of these guys…you gotta be fucking kidding me. I used to call myself a big fan of SV, but not anymore. Times have changed and people have shown their true colors. pff
