The Roots and the NBA seem to have a good thing going this year (as they have in years past.) First they help Dwayne Wade and George "The Iceman" Gervin find their cool. Next thing you know, they're at the helm of a full-fledged anthem for this year's finals spectacle. In the lead-up to next week's closing round of the playoffs, the Illa Fifth just dropped a new visual and track to accompany the hard-fought march to the chip, lining up with legends like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson on the hard-top, who embody, like The Roots themselves, the prerequisite excellence to wear the crown. With the conference championships still raging on both coasts (though it appears that'll soon be settled at least on the eastern side of things) this should get you in the mood for the finals bout no matter who you're cheering for.
