Snoop Dogg and DāM-FunK resurface to present the final product with the arrival of the 7 Days Of Funk full album stream presented by NPR‘s First Listen. Their highly-anticipated collaborative LP is a mash of cosmic slop and concentrated g-funk that unites the pair for a 9-track journey that will please a number of palates, from the West Coast traditionalist to the boogie funk aficionado. The project also features appearances from Tha Dogg Pound, Kurupt and legendary funk pioneer Steve Arrington.

Speaking of g-funk we had the chance to get DaM-FunK’s thoughts on the impact of Snoop’s debut album Doggstyle, which celebrated it’s 20th Anniversary a week or so back. Here’s what he had to say:

It was a monumental album of great proportions. It was a record made with Funk as the centerpiece…and also finally allowed an MC to be seen worldwide from the perspective of how WE were on the west. Our walk, our talk, our look. Someone we could identify with: Snoop.

Freak the centerpiece again and get a feel for how they do it in the west; stream the 7 Days Of Funk LP. Purchase the project ahead of the December 10th release date via Stones Throw and get more backstory story on the forthcoming album via NPR Music.

Is it just me, or do these tracks need to be quantized? I really wanna be down with Snoop’s new thing…
