Cozz Releases Music Video For "Grow"
The end of the year is a good time to revisit one's accomplishments, and that's exactly what Dreamville spitter Cozz does in his song "Grow," which has a new music video this week.
"Grow" first appeared on the Dreamville crew's Revenge of the Dreamers II compilation from December 2015. The song features Cozz rhyming about his progression from his humble beginnings and hopes of hitting it big musically, to building a successful rap career. The music video seems to give a look at the origins
The Anthony Supreme-directed music video seems to give a look at those origins Cozz rhymes about, showing snapshots of family members in a house living their daily routines.
Along with Revenge of the Dreamers II, "Grow" also appeared on Cozz's mixtape from January, Nothin' Personal. They were the start of a deceptively busy year for the Dreamville camp, with Bas' album Too High To Riot dropping in March, Ari Lennox releasing her debut EP Pho in November, and J. Cole's conceptual album 4 Your Eyez Only topping the charts upon its release in December.
