The r&b icon dedicated much of this year and last to being his hallmark reclusive self, concluding an extensive touring schedule in support of Black Messiah in early-April of 2016. He'd resurface to pay tribute to the late Prince on The Tonight Show weeks after his death, before a one-off performance at Roots Picnic NYC in Bryant Park the following October, his last onstage appearance.
Today, he announces another one-off performance with his band The Vanguard (comprising Pino Palladino, Isaiah Sharkey, Jesse Johnson, Chris "Daddy" Dave amongst a grip of music's most coveted voices and players) at London's Eventim Apollo with UK star, Omar, as support this spring. Tickets for the March 6th, 2018 show are on pre-sale ahead of this Friday's general sale. You can hit the link below to see if you qualify via Ticketmaster.
Hopefully this is a sign of what's to come. Don't hold your breath, though.
