Richard Russell was blessed with full reign over XL Recordings in the early-nineties. With his guidance (read: ear,) the label has released the final albums of Bobby Womack and Gil Scott-Heron, as well as smash records for Adele, Radiohead, Kaytranada and most recently, Sampha.
Today the label head broadcasted a two-hour mix from XL studios, announcing his own project, Everything is Recorded, slated to include contributions from Kamasi Washington, Syd, Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno, Mark Ronson, and Damon Albarn. No release date has been set, but two Sampha collaborations were played during his mix. You can hear them at 53:58 and 1:13:51 in the player below.
