Wunmi Mosaku is talking about her experiences as someone diagnosed with ADHD and how it impacts her day-to-day life. In a recent interview with Glamour, the Sinners actress revealed she has recently become "fixated" on house renovations–which she attributes to her attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

"I'm not very calm," Mosaku shared. "I have ADHD and I have really struggled. I've got into nesting mode and I've become fixated on: getting lighting in the ceiling because I feel like Americans love lamps and I can't see anything."

The 39-year-old is currently pregnant with her second child, and she said that her ADHD can also make her more "homely” — to the point where she obsesses over household tasks that she probably should leave to others.

"I also became focused on moving a door in the past four days - thank God that was cancelled," she added. "Why was I trying to do that? It's not the right time."

The National Institute of Mental Health describes ADHD as a “developmental disorder characterized by an ongoing pattern of one or more” of the following symptoms:

  • Inattention, such as having difficulty paying attention, keeping on task, or staying organized.

  • Hyperactivity, such as often moving around (including during inappropriate times), feeling restless, or talking excessively.

  • Impulsivity, such as interrupting, intruding on others, or having trouble waiting one’s turn.

In addition to her performance as Annie in Ryan Coogler’s 2025 blockbuster Sinners, Mosaku has appeared in a number of major Hollywood projects in recent years, from Marvel’s hit Deadpool & Wolverine to the acclaimed series Lovecraft Country. She explained that, outside of her hectic but thriving career, she focuses on maintaining stability for her family.

"I now consider my ADHD in everything,” she revealed. “Home life takes priority over socialising or texting on a group thread - I'm not trying to read all these messages.”
