The Fresh Princess of Bel Air has a nice ring to it

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air ended over 20 years ago. No length of time has stopped the demand for a follow-up.

Will Smith has been reticent to commit to any more new Fresh Prince material. But that doesn't mean it's not coming.

According to TMZ, NBC Universal, the company that owns the rights to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, filed trademark applications trying to lock down the rights to Fresh Princess of Bel Air for "television program and virtually every other media platform."

They are also looking to corner the merch market; they are trying to get the trademark Fresh Princess for bags, shirts, backpacks, and even footwear.

Will Smith almost certainly won't be involved. But considering one of his earlier IG posts, where he cosigned an animated version of himself, we would think he wouldn't mind.
