At just 12 years old, Erykah Badu‘s daughter is already showing signs of star power. A few years back Sara Bellum shared a heart-warming clip of herself singing Colbie Caillat’s “Try” with daughters, Puma and Mars. Tears were shed as the world was made keenly aware of the budding talents of the next generation of Badus. Yesterday, Mama Bear shared another proud moment with the world: a clip of young Puma performing an ear-grabbing cover of Rihanna‘s 2012 smash “Stay.”
Two clips of Puma’s performance were posted on Instagram, to which one Swizz Beatz replied “she need to let Egypt prod a track ASAP,” referencing his son’s production credit on Kendrick Lamar‘s untitled unmastered. And while that collaboration might take a minute to manifest, you can watch the clip of Puma singing a Rihanna hit down below. Hopefully a Badu family band isn’t too far out of the picture (or scope of reason for, you know, kids.) Suppose time will tell, though.
