In November of last year, Blood Orange performed a forty minute set at Boiler Room Weekender in Pennsylvania’s Poconos Mountains. And now the footage from the performance has been released. Dev Hynes went in, playing the cello, guitar, and keys. Hynes was also accompanied by two dancers on stage. In a post made to their Facebook page, Boiler Room wrote, "As we reflect on the legacy of MLK Jr. today, we wanted to share this powerful set by Blood Orange from the RBxBR Weekender. Bookended by two radical black artists, Julius Eastman and Nina Simone, Dev Hynes' performance was an important statement on the continued work we all must do towards equality." A few months back Blood Orange performed “Juicy 1-4” off the album Freetown Sound on The Daily Show. If you missed the performance, head here to watch.
