Tink References Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love" In New "Might Let You" Video

In her latest video for "Might Let You" off of Heat Of The Moment, her latest album, Tink is joined by Davido.

Tink has a voice that’s hard to forget. Today, the R&B vocalist with Chicago roots has unveiled a video for her single “Might Let You” featuring Davido.

The first time we watched the visual directed by Daniel Czernilofsky our minds transformed us back to Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s hit “Crazy in Love.” Though “Might Let You” is a bit of a slower tempo track, there are a few elements that took us back to the past. They include the vintage car used as a prop, the brick walls that emphasize Tink's looks styled by Billingsley, and how she and Davido come together at one point. The use of the back alleyway as a runway is another tell-tale sign that Beyoncé's past video was referenced.

In a new interview when speaking on working on Heat Of The Moment, her sultry 14-track album produced by Hitmaka, Tink shared:

“With ‘Might Let You’ alongside Davido, we tried an afrobeats tempo and Hitmaka has a great relationship with him, so it was easy to hit him up and ask if he wanted to jump on the track. Hitmaka is a super producer and has connections with so many people, sometimes he would just load up a track and it would already be formatted with the feature on it.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Tink shares that she’s fresh off of touring with Queen Naija. She added she’s glad to be home in Chicago. “Every night was magical! The cities were showing so much love and support, for my set I was doing some of my newer records and it’s crazy because the fans would really enjoy when I was singing some of my older songs,” she said.

With 2021 wrapping up Tink’s video release today means she must have more in her arsenal for the first quarter of 2022.
