On Wednesday, Detroit producer Black Noi$e dropped the video for "Mo(u)rning," the latest single from his new album Oblivion. The track features Earl Sweatshirt.
The video was directed by Aaron Hymes, who put a twist on the traditional zombie movie aesthetic, as Earl and Black Noi$e are tailed by undead police officers. As the officers attempt to apprehend the two, they are lured into human-sized rat traps. View the video below.
In an interview with Hypebeast, Noi$e spoke about the recent protests as well as his relationship with Earl.
"I thoroughly agree with all sides of the protests," he said. "If it's a riot, a [looting], a fight back, in any way that it has to happen I'm all for it. But the state of the country and our leaders? I have little faith for what's going on...my optimism is with the fight of the people and not the fight of this country."
"I feel like what's always at the forefront is finding new things," he said of his friend and label boss. "And respecting where things are coming from. There's always a search so it's a good place to be. Earl's my brother. It's beyond the music. The song that we did, we've had the song and I was just like, "Do you mind if I put this one on [Oblivion]? And he said for sure. But that's my brother. That's family."
Noi$e released Oblivion in August, through Earl's record label, Tan Cressida. The album features guest appearances from Danny Brown, BbyMutha, MIKE, Earl (of course), and ZelooperZ.
