This week’s new music Friday also features Arrested Development and Nine Vicious.

JID makes a peace sign towards the sky in a white tank top.

It's the Fourth of July weekend and that means a lot of things for a lot of people. So—whether you’re a flag-waving super patriot, a BBQ enthusiast or just somebody who digs fireworks, there’s new music to add to your Independence Day soundtrack.

On one hand, J.I.D’s just pulled up with GDLU (PRELUXE), a mini mixtape with features from Eminem, 6LACK, and Lil Yachty. Meanwhile, Chance The Rapper dropped his latest track, the fauna-titled and stoner-themed “Tree,” which features fellow elite spitters like Lil Wayne and Smino. Youngboy Never Broke Again partially drops his Make America Slime Again project. Pretty solid lineup.

Each week, Okayplayer will deliver a roundup of all the latest new heat from some of our favorite artists. Check out the latest offerings below.
