Virginia Man Calls Cops After Being Fouled During Pickup Basketball Game

Recently, we've seen people call the cops for a number of really stupid reasons but this one is easily the most ridiculous so far.

A man in Sterling, Virginia, called the cops after getting fouled too hard in a pickup basketball game, according to Deadspin.

The story was first circulated on social media via Twitter user @_togs, who shared an image with the police officer, the man who fouled (in the double-shooting sleeve), and the man who called the cops (black shirt and arms folded, standing next to the cop).

"Today for the first time in my life...I experienced someone call the police because they got fouled hard in basketball," the Twitter user wrote, before elaborating on the incident in a thread and clarifying who was the one that called the cops:

"Everyone at the gym and dude in the black with hands folded falls from a hard pick."

"He gets up tells everyone he's going to call the police and walks out leaving everyone in gym confused."

"We thought he was joking til we saw buddy at the front desk on the phone really calling the police [sobbing emoji]."

"Shooting Sleeves was NOT the one who called the police he was the screener not the 'screenee.''

"Cop finally comes and brings them out the gym to talk like it was an elementary school fight. You could tell he was blown cause his time was wasted."

"Cop leaves and we are still left wondering why..."

If there's anything to be learned from this story, it's this — stop calling the cops for dumb shit.
