The former WBC heavyweight champion is enlisting the designers of his last costume.

Over the weekend, former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder made headlines after his first career loss to Tyson Fury. In the days following the fight, Wilder blamed the loss on fatigue from the weight of the costume he wore to the ring.

According to a CBS affiliate in Birmingham, Wilder isn't fazed by the sartorial mishap. In fact, the Tuscaloosa, Alabama native recently reached out to the designers to discuss their next collaboration.

Cosmo Lombino and Donato Crowley are founders of Cosmo's Glamsquad. The duo has collaborated with Wilder for ring entrance costumes since 2018.

"From day one, we have shared Deontay's vision for 'The Bronze Bomber,' the two said in a statement. "We remain excited as-ever to participate in the creative expression this alter-ego affords our client. Deontay and Telli are clear that ‘Cosmo and Donato’ continue to resonate with their growth-strategy for the Bronze Bomber.”

Lombino and Crowley insist that their partnership with Wilder is as strong as ever.

"Deontay Wilder called me at home last night," Crowley said. "We had an extensive honest conversation that put confusion and rumors to rest. Reiterating that he considers us family, Deontay was very clear that he looks forward to future collaborations. The subject of the call then turned to Wilder v Fury III."
