Seed x Nottz – No Way In Hell
Seed (bka The Bad Seed) and Nottz drop No Way In Hell, reprising the celebrated duo act that found them making waves in the late-90s with their collaborative single “For The Kids.” Fast forward to 2018, the beats and rhymes are as sharp as the biting political commentary that peppers the release.
Nearly two decades since releasing classic material together, the BK-VA duo of Seed & Nottz are back at it with an album that’s lyrically timely and musically timeless, ‘No Way In Hell.’ As the ten tracks on here rattle through your system, one thing’s incredibly clear: this project was definitely worth the wait. Hopefully it doesn’t take another 20 years for these two to drop another project.

Ghostnaut – From Montréal To Welly
Montreal producer Ghostnaut travels clear across the globe in a handful of songs on his latest release entitled From Montréal To Welly.
his album ‘From Montreal to Welly’ was created in between Montreal and New-Zealand. The birth of the project happened just before Raw’s Collective summer tour in November 2017 when Ghostnaut mentioned the idea of crafting an album from his beats catalog to Raw Deezy (Raw Collective’s founder). They both agreed and jumped into this soulful voyage made of a long lasting friendship and some great worldwide talents (musicians and emcees). The album itself has a bit of throwback feel, as infuses lyrical boom bap with live organic band instruments sound.

Jansport J – Low
Jansport J explores the varied states of human existence across the twenty-one tracks of his introspective new instrumental tape Low.
Love, nostalgia, consciousness and artist integrity; these are some of the themes masterfully weaved in and out of LOW’s soundscapes. Jansport stitches together carefully selected samples, nuanced drum loops, and pungent soundbites. By the time you realize you are being serenaded by the revelations of one of America’s greatest literary giants, the album’s true concept becomes clear: nobody knows what’s real and what’s not real. But you wake up everyday to try and figure it out anyway.

Packed Rich – Ornithology EP
Pianist, producer and crate digger, Packed Rich drops the latest in a steady stream of projects with the follow-up to Sanctuary entitled Ornithology.
The name Ornithology refers to the variety of different bird sounds featured on this project. Most of these recordings were made during my travels through japan last year and they captured some feelings and scenes I will never forget. So when I mix these sounds with my compositions the music takes me back to those places. Back to the old mountain village’s buddhist cemetery in the middle of a lush green forest, with the rain hitting the stone steps, cicadas performing an atonal ballad and some hawks flying above, cutting through the unreal soundscape with their sharp screams. Back to this deep connection I felt towards my environment.
