Watch the Second ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Trailer
A second trailer for the long-anticipated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has arrived, with Shameik Moore and Brian Tyree Henry returning.
Miles Morales swings through with an “elite crew with all the best Spider-people” in the second Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer. The promotional spot comes four months after the first trailer, where Morales (aka Spider-Man) and Gwen Stacy (or Spider-Gwen) encounter a multiverse with alternate versions of the webbed superhero.

While being a student and full-time Brooklynite, Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore, goes toe-to-toe with Miguel O’Hara (aka Spider-Man 2099). Voiced by Oscar Isaac, the villain seemingly references 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, telling Morales, “Don't even get me started on Doctor Strange and the little nerd back on Earth-199999!" With Morales aiming to stop the mysterious new villain, in the trailer he’s told, “Being a Spider-Man is a sacrifice.”
Here’s the official synopsis: "Miles Morales returns for an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered."
Also landing in the Into the Spider-Verse sequel is Issa Rae’s Spider-Woman and Daniel Kaluuya’s Spider-Punk, with Jake Johnson reprising his role as Peter B. Parker. Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, and Shea Whigham will also join as additional characters.
While Morales returns to the animated franchise, in a recent interview with Empire, the Sony TV and film producer Amy Pascal hinted at a potential live-action spinoff for the character. “[Fans will] have to wait a couple of years to see what we do,” she told the publication.
Co-directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, the Into the Spider-Verse continuation will be delivered in two parts. Across the Spider-Verse will release on June 2, while Beyond the Spider-Verse is scheduled to premiere on March 29, 2024.
