Of course while we were blacked out for the SOPA protest (literally, in my case. I'm still wild jetlagged) Santigold went and dropped a new video. I have to admit when this beat came in I was like, Ugh. Not the "Pon De Floor" shit AGAIN. But Santi quickly chases the tambarzao-ish drum pattern in a totally unexpected Afro-beat direction and overcame my feeble oppositions with the sheer ferocity of her vocal attack and presence. God, I love this woman. Her music, I mean.
