Tracy Morgan And Walmart Settle Suit Following Deadly 2014 Accident

It appears that Tracy Morgan may finally be getting his, settling a suit against Walmart in the wake of a deadly and tragic accident last year. Many of you may recall the incident, where one of the big-box giant's tractor trailers collided with a limo transporting Morgan and fellow comedians Ardie Fuqua, Mr. Melia and James McNair (the family of which settled with the company back in March) from a late show in Atlantic City back home, sending all but the driver to emergency room via airlift.

Morgan, whose rehabilitation is still well underway following the lethal incident that claimed the life of close friend and longtime writing partner McNair, has issued a statement in which he claims :

“Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably.”

And so, though no details of Morgan's settlement have been revealed just yet (and may very well never be) nor would any amount of compensation bring back the life of a dear friend, I suppose we can all let our guards down a bit knowing that he seems satisfied with the arrangement. Here's hoping that the irreverent one makes a full recovery, whether we makes his way back to the stage or not.
