Tinashe is on the path to R&B stardom, and early Wednesday morning she took her next step with a dynamic performance of her most recent single “All Hands On Deck,” live at the break of dawn on ABC‘s Good Morning America (thankfully that regrettable Iggy Azalea feature was left off of this one). Backed by a full band (alright, to be fair, just a drummer and backup singers but damn that man on the skins can play) Tinashe and a backup dancer duo crushed the Times Square soundstage with astonishing choreography and more of the vocal chops that have made her a towering figure in music, despite her tender age.
“All Hands On Deck” is perhaps an even more club-friendly cut than her breakthrough hit “2 On,” and has worked Tinashe’s fan base into a dance frenzy of sorts, thanks to its captivating music video and a move by the singer to highlight anyone who learns her own dance moves and posts a video to Instagram. But no one does it quite as well as the woman herself. Pick up Tinashe’s excellent LP Aquarius on iTunes if you haven’t already done so, and watch her blaze through “All Hands On Deck” below.
