With the Ghostbustersreboot just around the corner, ghoul and slime catching sentiments are at an all-time high. The third installment of the '80s classic will officially land in theaters on Friday, July 15th, but before we get there, the requisite theme song reboot has arrived, and it's...well, the first time I've ever thought to myself "damn, where is Ray Parker Jr. when you need him most?" It features our beloved, Missy Elliott, and Pete Wentz and his pop rock outfit, Fall Out Boy (yes, they're still a thing,) doing their damndest to not sound terribly dated, even though the song somehow makes me feel like I'm reliving 2012 all over again. In any case, enough ranting. Here's Missy Elliot and Fall Out Boy's take on the Ghostbusters theme. God, I hope this movie is better than this damn song. Peep the full track list for the soundtrack while you're down there, predictably lined with overzealous use of the word "ghost."
