SBTRKT Returns w/ The-Dream On Tender New Single "Good Morning"
Outside of a handful of guest spots and loose releases over the last year or so, SBTRKT has maintained the hallmark veil of mystery that has characterized much of his career. And sure, those have all been more than worth an ear (particularly, that exceptional neo-soul-ish blend he spun on BBC's Radio 1 a while back,) but fans have been eager to rock with something new, something blue from the cryptic constructor of choice atmospherics.
Today, SBTRKT returned with just that, premiering the luscious, string-heavy composition "Good Morning" on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 program this morning, featuring the talents of The-Dream (who recently turned up on Kanye West's "work-in-progress" seventh studio album, The Life Of Pablo.) As for "Good Morning," The-Dream's falsetto and SBTRKT's knack for oceanic vibes line-up almost too-well, accentuating one another and providing a proper score to your start-of-the-day rituals. There's no word yet on when we can expect a new album from SBTRKT, but seeing as how his last effort, Wonder Where We Land, dates back to late 2014, we just might be due.
