Richard Pryor bio-doc Richard Pryor: Omit The Logic is slated to premier at Tribeca Film Festival. The film was the brainchild of Pryor’s widow Jennifer Lee Pryor and Director Marina Zenovich – the filmmaker responsible for Roman Polanski: Wanted And Desired. The documentary seeks to examine the troubled life and subsequent genius of the comedian. The film focuses on Pryor’s evolution from relatively harmless punchline comic to fiery social critic. Zenovich was granted access to Pryor’s personal diary, family photos and other affects during production for the film which features commentary from Quincy Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams and Mel Brooks. The documentary will screen at Tribeca from April 17th to the 28th. It will be broadcast as a part of the Closeup documentary profile series airing on Showtime at a later date.
