Quan and Pusha T Remember Tamir Rice With 'All On Him' Music Video

In the music video for their song "All On Him," Quan and Pusha T do imagine doing what no one else could do: save Tamir Rice.

Quan is mostly known for his memorable cameo on Nas' 2005 single "Just A Moment," and as a signee of Nas' label Ill Will Records. But he is also a father who lost his son. The death of Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old boy in Cleveland who was killed by police in 2014 while playing with a toy gun, moved him.

Along with other footage of protests and news reports of police brutality, the music video has a child actor portraying Tamir Rice and playing with a toy gun. When plain clothed officers come at the end of the video with their guns drawn, another little boy stands in front of him to protect him.

"I can't fully understand why those cops shot that baby. However, in my video he lives instead of dies. We were able to save him. The same way God saved us many times over," Quan said in a statement. "The key to the change is peace, great music and God. 'Cause it's all on him. My friend Max Profit who plays one of the police officers, was killed during the shooting of this video. That kid at the end of the video with his hands up is my son, an angel."

"All On Us" is a song from Quan's latest mixtape, www.donferquan.com, which features Pusha T, Ace Hood, Emilio Rojas, and Rapper Big Pooh. The tape is his first full-length release since 2011.
