Prince Liberates Audio From 'Dance Rally 4 Peace" At Paisley Park
Precisely one week before he descended upon Baltimore for the triumphant "Rally 4 Peace" at Royal Farms Arena, Prince threw a bit of a warm-up gathering at his Paisley Park compound. The rules were fairly similar; wear gray, show up and turn up. And while the Charm City's proceedings were certainly the more lavish of the pair, those that attended were treated to a set from P & and the ladies of 3rdEyeGirl, who strutted their funk & roll stuff for 41 minutes and some change; guitars wailing, drums knocking and voices flaring, all for what I imagine was a pretty intimate affair, as you can't even hear the crowd chatter in between songs. And I don't know about the rest of you, but we could very quickly get used to weekly treatments from The Purple One. There have yet to be any more announcements as to where his Hit & Run tour will land next, but we'll certainly keep our ears to the ground for you.
