The Black Opera member, Obie Iyoha, has plans of dropping his solo debut album, Midnight Run, later on this month. Obie makes a strong first impression with this lead single, “Lost In America.” As a fellow Nigerian American raised by immigrant parents this one hits real close to home, but Obie’s story is one many can relate to, As Obie puts it: “Lost in America' is a tale about the actions and consequences of peer pressure due to a lack of guidance. A looking-glass to going astray on the not so sunny side of America, as an African boy." Obie vividly paints the picture while producer Chisom Uzosike comes through with the knocking production (with some well placed Afro-beat fused in). Midnight Run will be out January 22nd.
