President Obama Names His Top Rappers + More In Interview On 'Sway In The Morning'

President Obama's List Of Sci-Fi Classics Is Good But Predictable

President Barack Obama phoned in to Sway In The Morning to talk music, politics, sports, and more. The interview starts a bit awkwardly with Sway asking Obama to say his name and state that he is a citizen of Sway In The Morning. Obama responds with reservation, through nervous laugh, saying that he is foremost a citizen of the United States of America, out of fear that if he said otherwise, his statements could be misconstrued by a certain orange expensive toupee wearing someone and set off a controversy. The conversation quickly jumped into the question of who the president's favorite emcees were. The answers consisted of the usual suspects: Kendrick Lamar, Chance The Rapper, Drake, Jay-Z, and even Kanye West, who the president once called a "jackass." Obama offered some interesting information regarding his relationship with Chano from 79th, who he has known since the rapper was around eight years old, "so we've been family for a while now" he said of the Chicago emcee. Chance's father was the state director while Obama was a state senator in Illinois. When asked who he thought would take the NBA championship this year Obama named the Golden State Warriors, citing Kevin Durant's addition to the team.
