Oakland Teens Take On Fast Food Industry w/ "Are You Loving It?" [Video]

Oakland Teens In The Muse Video Unit Of KDOL TV Strike Out Against Fast Food Giants In The Video For "Are You Loving It?"

Oakland teens stick it to the fast food industry in the "Are You Loving It?" video from the student-centered Muse Video unit of KDOL TV. The project unites young area artists from MetWest High School and Youth Uprising to tackle "the issue of fast oppression." The clip is a joint project from the Oakland Unified School District and the Media Enterprise Alliance. Carefully conceived and well produced, the video is anchored by an anthem decrying the injustices endemic to the fast food industry produced and performed by Oakland natives Taiwo Murray, Pamela Arriera and L.L.D.B. Unsurprisingly, Ronald McDonald stars as the arch villain. The teens created the project after being inspired by health problems facing their family members. Check the footage below to watch the "Are You Loving It?" video. Comment via YouTube and let these artists know whether the video inspires you.
