Nosaj Thing Returns w/ The Dark & Whispery New Cut "Cold Stares" feat. Chance The Rapper

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Nosaj Thing is probably one of your favorite rapper's most cherished (and least spoken of) producers in the game. Today he returns to the weird and wild world with a musical rekindling of sorts, connecting with former collaborator Chance The Rapper for the hauntingly minimal new cut "Cold Stares" off the LA beat smith's forthcoming Fated LP.

Sedated and hypnotically cool, "Cold Stares" finds the duo back at it (following up their linkage on the Acid Rap standout "Paranoia,") dishing out the kind of spooky, tortured goodness that only they can. Over faded, washed-out synths and a sparse drum program, Chance tells a brutal tale of addiction, painting an agonizing picture of a junkie using every available appendage to get his fix, whichever way he can. The Fated LP is due May 5th via Innovative Leisure and will be strictly solo venture outside of this collabo and one more with Sacramento's WhoareiListen to Nosaj Thing and Chance The Rapper's "Cold Stares" and peep Nosaj's extensive list of tour dates below to catch him live and direct.
