OKP Premiere: Mr. Green, Malik B & R.A. The Rugged Man Warn Of A Life In "Dark Streets" w/ Gritty New Video

Over the last year, Mr. Green & Malik B have made good, many times over, on a promise made during a chance encounter on the side streets of Philly during the Roots Picnic years ago. That they would collide and present some of the dustiest boom-bap of a generation's worth of contenders. Last we had seen or heard from the duo, they were warning of the ills of the street, particularly when the "Metal Is Out." And today, the terrific tandem is back with some more street dream wisdom in the video for "Dark Streets," the latest single from their stellar Unpredictable LP.  Here we find the Roots crew alum dishing out daggers of the cold gospel along with R.A The Rugged Man painting a vicious mural of life on the corner and doing so with weight in their lyricism. The clip is a grainy, discordant aesthetic (featuring on-the-prowl bike footage from Philly Hang Gang) that perfectly embodies the grit of this all too-tuff cut. If it's been a minute for you, jump back and feel the funk they've been bringing for the past 365 and some change, or just get acquainted with sinister sounds of Mr. Green & Malik B in the video for their R.A. The Rugged Man assisted heater "Dark Streets" below. Cop their Unpredictable LP on iTunes today.
