Lee Fields & The Expressions get the remix treatment with a boom-bap inflected take on their Emma Jean LP standout "Just Can't Win" from Marco Polo. The track is a percussive beast with an inherent warmth that plays up Fields' gritty soul vocal and the burnt sugar of the blues guitar groove. The track follows the June release of the album, which has been the recipient of plenty of press as Fields & The Expressions continue to storm stages with their tidal wave of a live show. The combination of Lee Fields and Marco Polo was something of an experiment for Truth & Soul Records and they seem totally delighted - as they should be - at the killer end result:
