Lee Fields & The Expressions Announce Fall 2014 Tour Dates In The U.S. & Canada + "Still Gets Me Down."
Lee Fields & The Expressions keep the ball rolling with a decent list of fall tour dates, which arrive alongside the brokenhearted ballad "Still Gets Me Down" from their Emma Jean LP. "Still Gets Me Down" plays with an edge that compliments the bottomless pit of fishgrease that is Fields' distinctive vocal. The dark and stormy blues is described as:
An epic mid tempo ballad about the lingering feeling of an ex even long after life has moved on. Typical slamming production from T&S with Lee pouring his heart out over the cinematic arrangements.
The track, which has been floating around since the album surfaced, gets a push ahead of the upcoming release of the "Just Can't Win" 45. "Still Gets Me Down" is the hard driving b-side to the upcoming vinyl release. The news arrives as Fields rounds out the first portion of his latest road trip, which kicked off in Ontario on September 8th.
