Lauryn Hill is now a grandmother.

Lauryn's oldest son Zion and his girlfriend announced the birth of their son Zephaniah this past weekend. Zion took to his Instagram to show pictures of Zephaniah, captioning one with "Welcome to the light."

He also dedicated a picture to his girlfriend, saying: "Another super strong woman in my life right here! Zephaniah's mother. Thank you for bearing him and putting up with everything I put you through. I don't know how you do it but you deserve all the love and all the respect. You are a warrior bringing in little "Zeph Curry."

Rohan Marley, the son of reggae icon Bob Marley, as well as the father of several of Hill's children, also posted some pictures of Zephaniah on Instagram to commemorate his birth.

"Jah Rastafari morning," Rohan began. "'In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah. Unto Us a Child is Born.'"

Hill is about to finish up her Diaspora Calling! Tour, which will end on April 28, at the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheater in Charlotte, NC. The tour has had Hill perform her catalog, as well as songs from artists that have influenced her. During a show in Paris, the singer combined Fela Kuti's "Zombies" with her very own "Lost Ones," accompanied by Kuti's son Seun and Egypt 80.

Hill's seminal The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album was recently added to Harvard University's Loeb Music Library, courtesy of 9th Wonder. The producer has served as a tenured professor at Harvard for years, and was selected to be in charge of archiving nearly 200 classic hip-hop records in the school's library.
