Pass The Popcorn: Key And Peele Get The Green Light On Their First Joint Film 'Keanu'

Comedic team Key And Peele has been behind some of the internet's most lauded viral sensations. From college football players with terribly difficult names to pronounce to a substitute teacher who has a difficult time pronouncing names, Michael Key and Jordan Peele have been diligently working towards getting your phonetics game up to par or at the very least, shining some light on how entertaining a few skewed words can be. None of that has stopped them from becoming one of Comedy Central's most successful tandems and developing a legion of loyalists.

Those that have hopped on the wagon should rejoice in the announcement that their long-awaited big-screen team-up seems to finally be upon us, as they've gotten the go-ahead on a quirky comedy called Keanu. It will focus on how the duo infiltrates a gang with the express purpose of retrieving their stolen cat, which, shockingly, has nothing to do with the mispronunciation of people's names. The film is scheduled to start shooting at the top of 2015 with an eye to release it by the end of next year or early 2016. Keep it locked as we'll be sure to keep y'all abreast to the phonetic follies of Key And Peele and the Keanu film as details roll out.
